FSR's 25th Anniversary Awards Gala brings together members of the sarcoidosis community to celebrate clinicians, researchers, and advocates from around the globe leading the charge to advance sarcoidosis research and carve the path towards better treatments and a cure.
Dress code is cocktail attire.

FSR Award for Distinguished Leadership in Sarcoidosis Research
Elliott Crouser, MD
Dr. Elliott Crouser is a distinguished pulmonologist and critical care specialist at Ohio State University. He currently serves as a Professor of Medicine with tenure at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Crouser received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Ohio State University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Crouser has developed extensive expertise in critical care medicine and pulmonary diseases, with a particular focus on sarcoidosis. Dr. Crouser held several prestigious positions, including: President of the Americas Association of Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders (AASOG) from 2018 to 2020; Chair of the American Thoracic Society Official Clinical Practice Guidelines for Sarcoidosis from 2017 to 2020; and Chair of the Internal Medicine Section (>4000 members) for the Society of Critical Care Medicine from 2019 to 2021.
FSR Congressional Award for Transformative Action through Public Service
Congressman Danny K. Davis (IL-7)
Congressman Danny K. Davis has represented Illinois’ 7th Congressional District since 1996 and has consistently been re-elected by wide margins. In the 118th Congress, he serves on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, including the Health Subcommittee, and is the Ranking Member of the Worker and Family Support Subcommittee. He is active in numerous caucuses, including the Congressional Black Caucus and as Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Re-entry. Known for his accessible and constituent-focused approach, Davis hosts weekly media programs, maintains regular district office hours, and organizes advisory task forces on key policy issues. A longtime advocate for civil rights, social justice, healthcare, education, and criminal justice reform, Davis is committed to protecting democracy, social security, and advancing equity. Before Congress, he served on the Cook County Board and Chicago City Council, and worked as an educator, health administrator, and civil rights advocate. He holds multiple honorary doctorates and has been recognized nationally and internationally for his leadership. Born in Arkansas in 1941, he has lived on
Chicago’s West Side since 1961.

FSR Innovative Media Impact Award
No Good Deed
The creators of Netflix show No Good Deed are being honored for spotlighting the emotional journey of a family affected by sarcoidosis, sparking national awareness and conversation. The series spotlight generated increased public interest by highlighting the challenges in receiving an accurate sarcoidosis diagnosis and highlighting the fears and anxiety that comes with the complex and unpredictable disease. This award will be accepted on behalf of No Good Deed by Liz Feldman, Showrunner and Executive Producer.

Actress and Sarcoidosis Advocate
Jeryl is a celebrated actress with roles in Star Wars: Ahsoka (Disney+), The Walking Dead, All the Queen’s Men, Swamp Thing, and Resort to Love. She is also a passionate FSR advocate in the sarcoidosis community, having lent her voice to FSR’s Ignore No More campaign to raise awareness and spark action.
