Education, Connection, and Community: A Sarcoidosis Patient Event

Join us for a full day event bringing together people living with sarcoidosis, their care partners, and healthcare professionals to learn, connect, and advance sarcoidosis care. This is a complimentary event, with lunch and parking included. Registration is required to attend.

During this event, patients and care partners will connect and learn from leading experts on topics including:  

  • Sarcoidosis Overview    
  • Fatigue, Pain and Exercise   
  • Medications and Treatments    
  • How to Participate in Research 
  • An opportunity to ask the sarcoidosis experts questions about your disease experience 
  • Dedicated time for care partners to connect and share experiences for supporting a loved one who is living with sarcoidosis 

 

The summit will provide the community with disease information, support resources, networking outlets as well as opportunities to learn more about the FSR SARC-Patient Registry and volunteering with FSR.

  • Individuals newly diagnosed or living with sarcoidosis  
  • Family members, friends, and care partners 
  • Community advocates and support group leaders 

Shared Lunch and Networking

During lunch, patients/caregivers and clinician attendees will come together to share first-hand experiences about sarcoidosis, meet local specialists, and discuss real-world challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.  Lunch is provided. 

Logistics and Accessibility

  • Cost: There is no cost to attend, but advanced registration is required by September 15th
  • Meals: Lunch will be provided. Please indicate dietary needs when registering
  • Parking and transportation: FSR will cover parking cost for the day-of the event  
  • Hotel Adress: 201 N. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 
  • Hotel Location: Located in the heart of Center City, Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown places guests within walking distance of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, LOVE Park, and other cultural attractions as well as easy access to Philadelphia’s business, leisure, and historic districts
  • Hotel Guest Rooms: A limited number of rooms are reserved for event participants in a guest room block at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown at $219/night for Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th. Please reach out to FSR at info@stopsarcoidosis.org  to learn more
